@mikelmaron the complaints about the import originate with local mappers that found that their data was needlessly being deleted/replaced without any substantial previous discussion. As nakaner has pointed out, the people involved were very well aware of what the guidelines say from previous discussion, further they have directly tried to sabotage DWG trying to clean up after them with numerous sock puppets and trolls of which ottawa_data just seems to be another one (as everybody can see there is obviously not a blank slate in Ottawa). As has become clearer as the story has unfolded, it is clear that Statistics Canada was/is trying to do the right thing, and in this discussion they were just being quoted to try and justify the blatant ignoring ot the guidelines that has taken place.

Ist die Andreasstrasse in Oerlikon tatsächlich ein footway? Nach Luftbild hat es eindeutig Autos die die Strasse befahren.

Please explain why you are removing existing valid data, for example way/68587894/history instead of simply improving geometries (if needed at all).

Einer der wichtigen Punkte bei OSM ist das wir gemeinschaftlich die Karte bearbeiten, deshalb wären sinnvolle Kommentare an deinen Edits hilfreich und würden anderen Mappern auch erlauben nachzuvollziehen was du geändert hast. Das gleiche gilt auch für eine Angabe deiner Quellen.

Hallo, bitte Vorsicht mit sochlen Quellen, auch wenn die "öffentlich" sind, heisst das noch lange nicht, dass die direkte Übernahme von Daten in OSM statthaft ist (sprich sie sind urheberrechtlich geschützt).

Pls do not use rin or similar as network indicator and stick to the values that were originally defined in osm.wiki/Relation:route#Inline_skating_routes The redundant encoding of the transportation method in the value of the network coverage is an old and silly mistake made in the early days of OSM, there is no need to repeat it in new tagging.

Du solltest die Hausnummer hier in ein seperates Attribut (addr:housenumber) packen und nit direkt in den Wert für die Strasse.

Hallo Urs, kleiner Tipp: in der Stadt Zürich ist für Gebäudeumrisse und ähnliches der Übersichtsplan eigentlich die beste Wahl als HIntergrund (kannst du rechts bei den Layern auswählen).

Weisst du gerade auch noch an welchen Strassen die jeweiligen Adressen sind die du eingetragen hast?

Ich würde desweiteren vorschlagen das du mal den "normalen" Browsereditor versuchst (iD), dazu müsstest du aber entweder eine aktuelle Internet Explorer version oder Firefox oder Chrome verwenden.

Die Stadt Zürich vergibt Nummern auch an unscheinbare Nebengebäude (z.B. auch die Perronüberdachungen am Bahnhof Altstetten), was natürlich ein Problem bei Vollständigkeitsüberprüfungen etc. gibt.
