I note that you've tagged a place as diet:vegan=yes and diet:vegtarian=no. As presumably any vegetarian can eat vegan food I don't think this is the best approach: it requires that anyone looking for vegetarian food has to examine both tags. This may work for your application, but may result in a large number of false negatives in other applications.

Is the Kingdom Hall in Liskeard really a Lutheran church. Seems a little unlikely in Cornwall. Kingdom Halls are usually Jehovahs Witness PoW.

63997414

Are you sure this is a Seventh Day Adventist Church? Usually Kingdom Hall signifies Jehovahs Witnesses.

I very much doubt that "Australie" is the normal description for the country, nor that a Kingdom Hall is a catholic church. The former should be addr:country=au, the latter is most likely denomination=jehovahs_witness

Hi & welcome to OpenStreetMap.

I was wondering if the track you have added the horse & bicycle permissions too is a public bridleway? If it is the additional tag designation=public_bridleway is very useful. Also if it is a track it's entire length then the highway tag can be changed to track. There is a map made with OSM data specifically focussed on public rights of way. The area around Hodsock looks like this: https://map.atownsend.org.uk/maps/map/map.html#zoom=14&lat=53.36164&lon=-1.08023. Contrast that with around Gringley-on-the-Hill https://map.atownsend.org.uk/maps/map/map.html#zoom=14&lat=53.40398&lon=-0.89475. We had a day mapping footpaths around Gringley, but there's still loads of information (and paths) missing in this part of Notts.

I'm Nottingham-based so I don't do much around here.

Best wishes,

Jerry aka SK53

Some oneway tags missing I think on the ones you've added. Presumably a more recent version of OpenRoads than I had to hand.

Thanks for fixing this one

I presume use of landuse=village_green for woods in this changeset was an accident (e.g., by copying previous tags). I've corrected a few, but its quite likely I've missed some.

I'd be more persuaded that this is an OS error given that they also show it as a public road; it's not replicated onto the StreetView layers.

You added Bawburgh Road as a name to the track at way/232206196. This looks unlikely as it is not heading towards Bawburgh. Current public notices wrt compulsory purchase orders for the Hornsea 3 windfarm power cables at Algarsthorpe all mention Algarsthorpe as being situated to the N of Bawburgh Road. This image of the gate at the S end doesn't show any signs of it being named https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/4858464.

Apologies then. I don't use it myself as I don't think its necessary. However it seems totally in contradiction to normal OSM practice of always using non-abbreviated names.

Many thanks for the link; I live quite near the other Moira (in Leics). You may not know but the OpenStreetMap Irish community have a couple of useful resources for local historians: old maps (mainly 1:25k maps made by the British Military Survey just before WWII by photo reducing old 6 inch maps http://maps.openstreetmap.ie/oocmaps.html). Also there is a website covering all Townlands in Ireland https://www.townlands.ie/down/moira/).

Thanks also for highlighting missing baptist churches. I made a start up around Magherafelt & Cookstown, but got distracted by looking for fire stations too.

The Beeston unparished area clearly includes separate places Bramcote, Toton, Attenborough, Chilwell & Beeston itself. These are different places, they may have once been in the same Urban District in the past (But I think it was Beeston & Sandiacre). Making them all Beeston not only fails the test of what someone living there would say, but creates issues with, for starters, Meadow Lane, Attenborough and Meadow Lane, Beeston.

66451704

No, that's incorrect, you are misreading addr:state which refers solely to US States like Alaska. For addr:country you should use the full word. In practice I would recommend not adding addr:country as it can easily be inferred from the country geometry itself

Nope, they are different in that a beer garden is always an ancillary amenity of a pub, whereas amenity=biergarten implies that it's a pub of a particular kind. You can see that this causes issues on things like cycle.travel https://cycle.travel/map?lat=51.5613&lon=-0.9328&zoom=14 which was showing 2 pubs, when there is only one. I've reverted the edit.

Hm, have you visited the Rainbow Inn, did you find lots of young women in dindrl serving foaming Maß? I suspect not, this is an English beer garden not a German one, and we use a different tag.

and yes the man_made tag is mis-spelt

Long time ago, but does the bus loop past the Hotel Villa Margharita to drop skiers at the Vajolet 1 base station? Memory tells me it did back in 2007. Similarly think the bus goes to base of Col Rodella lift, and that there is a pick up at base of Pozza lift.I don't think you or anyone else has these. Unfortunately my visit was 2 years before I started with OSM.

No, I'm afraid that one looks like one of Bing's sources, and I doubt they'll respond as quickly.

The OSM data should appear eventually in quite a range of maps & tools (Instagram, Snapchat, Facebook - but possibly not UK), but it can take a while

I take a slight proprietary interest in the area I had the pleasure of staying overnight in Moira 15 months ago and did a bit of mapping before breakfast on a bright October morning (in the aftermath of Storm Ophelia),

Many thanks for adding the details of your church. I've made some minor alterations (mainly because the building was already mapped as a church & it was showing up twice). The significant things are: I added the car park; I changed "Baptist" to "baptist" (all tags other than names are in lower case); and I altered the service times to the general (but less-humanly readable) format. You can see here on OpenStreetBrowser how the data you added can already be used https://openstreetbrowser.org/#map=17/54.48035/-6.21902&categories=religion (I'm not sure if this does service times).

This query shows other Baptist churches within about 25 miles which are already on OpenStreetMap: http://overpass-turbo.eu/s/FD8. I can see that there must be quite a few missing. I'll have a go at finding some more.
