Why has the Thai script been removed from this road ref ?? - this is a DDR road and should carry the official Thai prefix.
I hope you have not fucked with any other DDR road refs without valid reason. I will revert this one and any others I find.

Quick question on master relations: do you add to any particular node or way, in the routes ... or as a standalone (non rendering node). Bit confused on how to add these.

Kits, Im on a bit of a learning curve here and following the Wiki osm.wiki/Buses as best I can. It seems to imply the stop position node is not necessary .... apart from rare cases. Perhaps this is one of those ?
With regard to the Master Relation, does that not only come into effect once you have 2 or more relations in a route ? With T4, I believe I yet have to add the return.
Appreciate the comment and feel free to add the Merthyr station so I can follow by example. I would also strongly ask you to organise an amendment to the Wiki if stop position nodes should be used, and where its mandatory.

It does appear in the National Street Gazetteer as mixed responsibility for maintenance, which is a good indication of public access.
Feel free to reinstate the fixme if that's not sufficient to warrant the change.
I try my best to reduce RoW errors & fixme's but clearly if all are going to warrant scrutiny, I'll just leave as is.
I have been involved in RoW since 1977 with many letters & Public enquiry involvement in my days with he TRF ... so I don't make changes lightly.
However you will appreciate its not easy especially when working within the bounds of what data is permissible to use, and the occasional incorrect or out of date info I work with.

So if it has a sign saying "Unclassified County Road" then that can be used in the Name tag ?
Or are we saying that the local sign becomes the designation tag ?
And if "unclassifed_county_road" is now becoming accepted as a valid designation tag, please can this be documented in one of the Wiki pages, most probably in osm.wiki/Access_provisions_in_the_United_Kingdom#Public_Rights_of_Way.

Despite the signage varying across the UK, some years ago I was chastised for using the Unclassified County Road designation. So when I stumbled across Unclassified COUNTRY Road, apart from wanting to sing John Denver, I thought I would change it to a more conventional tag.

If thats the wrong stance, then I would really appreciate a clear Wiki page on how we should tag these "ORPA's" (as the OS call them).
Im sure the designation is not supposed to be whats written on each sign and dependant on which neck of the woods you live in ?

There was a Boat sign erected so I assumed it had been legally changed, however it still appears on the List of Streets as an "Unclassified highway" and can't find any record of the change in the Derbyshire CC records.
OK in this instance mapping ground truth was probably wrong without further verification, so I'll change it to unclassifed_highway, and speak with my TRF friends up there to shed light on the sign, and confirm if still there.

OK I'll retract the comment about an ulterior motive, although to join OSM and make just ONE edit ever, does seem strange.
But moving onto the road I simply don't get your explanation ... granted I rode East to West, so would not have seen any pertinent signs at the West end, and of course at the East end, yes there is a No entry on the gate to another private road that leads to the estate.
Could it be you got the roads mixed up?
I have looked of street view and while I see signs marked Hafod Estate, there is nothing to indicate its a private road. There are even "official" brown tourist info signs pointing to the Picnic area.
Furthermore, an old streetview image at the junction with the B4343 does show this road signposted as the B4574 to Cwmystwyth/Rhayader. I cant believe its since changed.
I too am a motorcyclist and I hate to see excellent road which appears to have been recently resurfaced, not correctly tagged, and perhaps not allowing others planning routes in the area to use it.
We can continue the debate, but I suggest you have may have confused this road with the Private one (showing as a track) that parallels it to the South, just under the path labeled "Coed Hafod Walk".

Uncle Pip - I think you are completely wrong here. I rode it last week and its a well surfaced tar road that connects through to the B4343. I saw no signs indicating any form of private road.
Furthermore, OS data both current and in 2016 list this as the B4574 in the same format throughout its length.
Unless you can provide some compelling evidence as to why I am wrong, I will shortly revert it back.
You have joined OSM, edited the map once, and have not been seen again. Perhaps this change has been made perhaps for personal reasons, to prevent vehicles using the road, and if so, that is not an acceptable practice.

This is certainly not a Private access road. It shows as public in a number of places, plus I rode along most of it last weekend. Perhaps the tag was inadvertently carried over when editing.
Anyway, I have changed the tags & left a note.

Yes a long time ago, in an attempt to differentiate the legal status of tracks/roads with vehicular rights, anything I had researched and was proven to be a Unclassified Country Road (UCR) had that put in the name tag. Current Ordnance Survey maps call them ORPA's.
While not strictly following the Wiki, it filled a empty tag, while helping considerably with differentiating legal tracks on a motorbike in the wilds, amongst those that were not.
The other name I used was BOAT (byway open to all traffic).
Its still useful to see on the map, but I have to bow to the purists that say its not a valid name and delete it.
So on that note, if it disappears, then I dont put back in, as I have since found that we can tag as designation=unclassifed_highway, and I now have the means of showing those up on my Garmin, so in effect achieving the same end.

If this section (way/984863247) has a gate, then add the gate with the correct access tags. Please do not change sections to suit how you see the access.
I checked it today, the gate is permanently unlocked and open and traffic is allowed.
I have corrected the map.

Well, that does not matter - you should not delete ANYTHING that another mapper has ridden down and created.
Are there any other similar roads in this area you have deleted because a car can't go down them ?

I see numerous deleted nodes on your changeset so assume you made the change - If the gate is locked and there no access, please mark as such and will take up with the council.

Atanas, please can you tell my why you have removed this section of road (north of Bent Orchard) from the map. It is an unclassified highway and I have ridden down it. Russ.

Again, it occurs when I correct roads that were a mass import from Facebook, and we remove the import tag to signify its been reviewed locally. Im guessing when doing 100's of these, I make the odd slip/typo/mis-key. Please feel free to correct any more you come across. Cheers.
