Some trip reports state that there's partially a trail towards to peak, but to err on the side of caution I'd rather leave out a path that exist than map one that doesn't.

I was not aware of any changes made to Strava heatmap as a result of people revealing secret locations, and as far as I know they don't really hide any activities unless users choose to keep them private. Strava makes their heatmap only show the last 12 months of activity, as you might know, so we unfortunately can't see older activity.

I agree, it's really hard to confidently spot the Storbunkevatnet path you're referring to, even though some parts are more visible than others.

There has been some discussion on mapped paths that are more routes than paths. Since it's good practice to map what's actually on the ground, and I don't believe a route should be mapped like a path. I'll delete the path in question, and do some adjustments to the nearby trails so that they align with updated satellite photos and Strava heatmap.

Have you walked way/558616518 yourself? I'm having trouble verifying the path in question myself.

Setting bicycle = no means that you're not allowed to bike there, not that it's not possible or really hard. Based on your comment, it looks like this trail is trailbalzed and open to everyone. I'll therefore change the access tag, but if you remember how difficult you found the trail to be, you're more than welcome to add sac_scale!

How did you find it more appropriate? The wiki states that the track tag is for minor land-access roads. Seeing that this is built by the municipality solely for recreational non motorized use, I don't really see how it fits. Furthermore, the footway tag has been used for twelve years without any other mappers disputing it, despite frequent OSM updates in the area. The southern part of Løvstien is now still tagged as footway even though it's built pretty much the same way as the nothern part.

Looks like you replaced footway with track for Løvstien, setting access for motor vehicles to no. Løvstien is zoned as a hiking trail, and although it's both compact and wide enough for motorized vehicles, I'm not sure if the tag is appropriate seeing it's built for hiking.

Hi, I see that for example way/1123278394 crosses a field despite it being tagged as a path. Wouldn't it be better if pistes that doesn't use trails or roads only get tagged with the piste tag?

Could perhaps surface = compacted be more suitable for these roads?
