Changeset When Comment

Sorry about that, the history is a little confusing at least via the website. Multiple segments of "Silk Road" have "v1" attributed to this changeset, so I thought that meant that you created them. Perhaps this is the result of you deleting and recreating them to remove the overlap, or something like that.

My understanding is that Body Freedom, Silk Road, and I'm guessing Night Owls, Quiet RV, and Quiet/Family as well, are part of Porcfest, and not Rogers' permanent setup. I know you didn't add all of these but you added at least Silk Road here.

I think temporary features like this are generally frowned upon, because they don't exist outside of the time frame. Even if you delete it after the event, there's a lag before which apps like Organic Maps gets the data.

That said, there seem to be proposals for temporary features, which would be awesome here:

osm.wiki/Proposal:Temporary_(conditional)

BTW it's awesome that you guys added the individual campsites. It crossed my mind to do that at some point as well. Looks like there's movement on making them show up on Organic Maps.

I visited node/10032246172 which you marked as a viewpoint here. It didn't seem especially like a viewpoint to me. It's placed just off-trail in a wooded area. Not much to look at, with trees blocking most things. Just the intersection of some trails, not at a small peak or cliff. Was it a mistake? I can post pictures if you'd like.

Hi,

I made a change to something you added in this changeset. I changed some "abandoned" to "razed". I was wondering if you could take a quick look? I give details in the "Discussion" that should explain why I wanted you to peek at it.

changeset/155748886

Thanks!

The segment along the parking lot, btw, is way/1055270213

155748886

I went with "razed" instead of deleting for two reasons:

1) The segment across the Amtrak parking lot got *added* 2 years ago which seems surprising. Did the editor have a different source? Perhaps it was physically still present 2 years ago, but the change that created it was large spanning. I wonder if they were using aerial photos or something. I will point them to this change in case they want to comment, perhaps suggesting that I just delete this segment at this point.

2) There are other tags about the railroad history that I didn't want to delete without people more familiar with that world to look at it. With that said, I am happy to delete whatever people in that area suggest I delete.

The one exception to my deletion, btw, is the Silver Street tunnel because it still physically seems to be an abandoned railway tunnel.

Ah great you were able to submit this.

I noticed that one of your streams looked off compared to LiDAR. I realized that it may be because it was connected to a node in the river that I adjusted AFTER you made the edit but BEFORE you saved it? I fixed it here:

I was just about to change this myself, I shouldn't have left this part blank when I updated this earlier.

How would you feel about making it fast_food rather than restaurant? amenity=fast_food

155530627

I guess that's all I want to clarify.

155530627

The historic buildings are in a large museum of sorts. Afaik they were all transported there. So they're not in their historic locations.

155530627

Sorry, the campground toilet is 10975458380, not the other one.

155530627

This toilet is a facility of the campground. It has shower stalls as well. I was thinking of making two separate amenities but it's all one room. Will my current approach show up in apps?

I confirmed this as primarily residential on Chinburg's website.

I kept operator and website on the buildings and also put them on the landuse. However I only put the name on the landuse.

Note that the northern building is the original courthouse and I (previously) labeled only that one with old_name. The southern one is a new construction. I didn't put an address on the southern one either because I'm not sure if it has a separate address.

If I ever conclude that both buildings have one address, I'll take address off of the northern building onto the landuse. If I ever conclude that they're actually the same building, I can scrap the landuse thing anyway, though keeping the historical name attached to the old building only is nice so maybe not.

Just wanted to get a second opinion to make sure that all makes sense.

Okay, *now* the construction is done :-)

Makes sense, should have been a node to begin with. Thanks.

FYI adding Zen Stoneworks nuked Liar's Bench. I'll actually be there tomorrow though so I'll see about splitting it up.

Hmm. Well there's a coffeehouse here now called Aubrey's, and their business card says "Punkin Town Road". I guess it's ambiguous. Nevermind then.

76864545

Do you happen to remember why you relabeled "Punkintown Road" to "Punkin Town Road" here? I just drove by and I'm pretty sure it said "Punkintown Road", at least coming off of the major road.

Last I checked on Friday, yeah. Most of the paths around this new building have the nice stones, but part of the way you selected is still gravel. (If we want to get pedantic maybe I'd split it in half and mark part of it as under construction, but I'm sure it'll be paved soon.) That said, it doesn't seem _closed_ for walking. It just doesn't seem too welcoming.
