In this case it seem to have been 'rotation'.
On Mac it is activated with Cmd+ shift + drag (on PC should be ctrl + shit + drag) . I also have a feeling that they changed some of the key shortcuts..
You can change them in preferences

Hi, please be careful. You are creating duplicate features like the lake or several of the golf holes.
Also when creating paths, draw a single line that leads along the median.

Ups.. that dragged a whole road.

Hi,
though I don't see a gate nor any no-trespassing signs. If there are no physical or legal restrictions to access the road then we should not put access=private tag on the road. But you can use ownership=private to indicate private ownership instead.

access=private

Hi, thanks for your hard work around CT! Also it seems that you created 9% of all manholes in OSM.

One thing I noticed here is that the Lowe's parking lot might have been recently updated. At least it looks like it from the Maxar Premium Imagery (generally the most recent imagery we have). And so the previous data were probably correct.

Welcome to OSM!
This seems all fine. Just two things:
1) When adding a business, you create a point where you add the information. If the business occupies the whole building you can place the tags on the building itself. But don't do both because then you create duplicate objects.

2) Opening hours follow this syntax: opening_hours=*#Simple_examples

Happy editing!

Nice catch, thanks!
I fixed the street names.

@GLCTStewardship
I added the new parcels to the Westwood relation (11544918) that now groups them together.
If you have a parcel-specific names you can add them to the respective polygons.
Also I noticed that you changed some names to a new format e.g. Heilig property (Sep10) - 3126. I am guessing those are some internal reference numbers. If so ideally they would go to a separate fields like e.g.

name = Heilig property
ref = 3126
start_date = 1985-10-10
( I don't know which year that date refers to. this is just an exmaple)

Hello,
.gpx file are used for storing records from GPS tracking devices and we don't use them for direct uploads to database.
But you can use shapefile (.shp) or .geojson formats to load your data to JOSM and use that for upload. However using JOSM is for more experienced users as one can accidentally cause errors.

Thanks. I fixed the broken State Forest and Westwood boundaries.
There are still multiple objects names as Westwood: several individual parcels and this large relation: relation/11544918
Not sure what the best solution is since the small parcels have some location specific information.

Thanks.
I don't know how often Amazon updates their routing maps from OSM data, but they should get it sooner or later.

Thanks! I have adjusted the area name as it is clear that it belongs to Guilford Land Conservation Trust from operator field.

Oh boy, you're right!
Fixed that here: changeset/129277340

Though it seems that waterpark needs some love. Some of the slides are even tagged as water drains. I think more appropriate would be something like:
attraction=water_slide

Hi and thanks for contributing!

Just a few suggestions on this set of changes. When you add a building, you can press Q to make its angles 90˚ and they will look nicer.
And a second thing is that when you finish editing in one area (e.g. state/ country) you can upload your changes to OSM before moving to the next one. This way you help people to better see what you have contributed.

Cheers

Hi and tanks for improving OSM!
Just a question, were you trying to update the Laurel Park boundaries?
In that case you can do that by dragging corner points or by creating new points (you can double click anywhere on the line to create a new point that you can drag afterwards).

Because you created a new tree row which is mean more for trees that where planted in a row one next to another.
natural=tree_row

Cheers

Hi, the previous version of tags was correct. House number goes into `addr:housenumber` field and street names are not abbreviated to Rd, Ave, etc.

128101279

Hi and welcome to OSM.
In this case those tags were correct. We mark driveways wit combination of highway=service + service=driveway. service=driveway

128043036

Hi, thanks for working on roads improvements in CT, but I see a few problems here.
I don't think that a commercial map is authoritative how the roads should be named. And secondly, any maps even on internet are copyrighted and copying information from them (whether it is google maps or mailamap) into OSM is not OK.

You can use public domain sources from government like https://portal.ct.gov/DOT/PP_SysInfo/Functional-Classification-Maps or those provided in iD editor like Bing Streetside or Mapillary. You can find them in the side menu "Map data" or when you press U.

But important is what is on the ground through a survey. For example this Lockwood Road turns out to be Wayside Lane which is posted on the road sign: https://www.bing.com/maps?cp=41.281554%7E-73.415384&lvl=17.0&v=2&sV=1&style=x&dir=293.5&pi=-2

Since you are editing roads, few more things:
1) Please don't create descriptive names like "(PRIVATE)". Use "ownership=private" tag
2) Don't use abbreviated names like "Rd" or "Ave", but spell the full name.
3) Before changing road classification please consult osm.wiki/Connecticut/Highway_classification wiki page or user jnighan who spent quite some time on the current classification in CT.

Cheers

Thanks for contributing. Though house number indeed goes into `addr:housenumber` tag as it was before.

Then you can provide evidence of this new development.
