There is a path (reasonable trail visibility IIRC) on this side of the stream leading to the col (Fuorcla Zarvetta) Path crosses scree and perhaps some blocky boulder fields. The trail is mentioned here https://www.myswitzerland.com/en-gb/mountain-hike-to-piz-compass.html. This is pretty much the route I walked, except it was pouring with rain below the Albulapass & I walked along the road until Crap Alv.
