Apologies, I should've cited it in my original question: way #166639894.

It was a long-shot; I did imagine the time to beware challenge.

However, this was the changeset that added the tag when making the way.

So, it is related to construction (or otherwise being open & ready to drive upon)? I searched the wiki & TagInfo to garner a meaning, but could find nothing relevant & useful.

My puzzlement was that the road has existed for a long time (much longer than 9 years). The only possibility I could think of was that there may have been some resurfacing works occurring in that section at the time.

My concern is that if such a tag suggests that it's still under construction, then it may adversely affect routing.

I imagine that other (local) mappers have left the tag for similar reasons. Hence I'm trying to determine its original purpose.

Having recently (2021-10-15, if I recall) surveyed the SE end of Broad Street, the temporary barriers have been removed and permanent-looking signage installed. So, this change appears to be for the long-term.
