I took a look at all the "motorway_links" on the island. These roads allow through traffic without leading to a motorway, so they shouldn't be tagged as motorway_link:

Forgot to add, a junction (either merge or exit) typically resets the speed limit beyond that point. So the speed limit on the bridge is 100km/h.

Regarding the road class downgrade, I respectfully disagree. The road sign just before the bridge has a green background, which indicates it is classified as a motorway.

You've reclassified some roads to motorway_link, but I think it's a bit too much. According to the OSM wiki, roads connecting to non-motorways that can be used by non-motorway traffic shouldn't be tagged as motorway_link:
highway=motorway_link#Link_roads_between_different_highways_types

Example:

I noticed that the highway near Limassol was changed from highway=motorway to highway=trunk. Based on nearby road signs (e.g., green background on this one), it should still be a motorway.

Regarding your question. That was obviously a typo. Now fixed.

I'm not sure this change is entirely accurate. The official GOV source lists only 5 road classes, while OpenStreetMap commonly uses at least 8. As a result, the current road network has some abrupt transitions—for example, from primary directly to residential—which seems incorrect.

I suggest we discuss the road class mapping with the Cyprus community.

This edit added a suspiciously large number of primary roads . I think this is incorrect, because the roads have completely different ref codes, abruptly change class from primary to tertiary, etc.
