So why can't it be both? osm.wiki/Talk:Key:entrance#Entrance=exit seems to suggest this is possible. The template on exit=* has `entrance=` as "useful combination", not `entrance=exit` or requiring this. https://taginfo.openstreetmap.org/tags/entrance=yes#combinations has 2236 `exit=yes` instances.

What's wrong with exit=* to indicate it can be used to get out explicitly? Following entrance=*#Tagging `=home` , there are 11428 `=shop`, and 76 `=office=` instances.

Sorry, in fact, this is already tagged as `lanes=3`, meaning one should already be able to get into a parallel diverge.

Please check that `turn:lanes=` is already tagged with more than what's needed. The split should be positioned at where the physical separation begins.
(I don't know why `change:lanes=` hasn't been added).
