1. Unfortunately `=road` means an undetermined road, not a general carriageway.
2. `=service` means it is a road serving a facility. No neccessary implication on legal restriction.
3. `access=yes` etc are what's used to show this.

This is a path of exit. It only rejoins the original roadway for a short section.

1. You may possibly use `passenger_lines=2` to indicate it's double-tracked explicitly, although this should likely be the default for tramways.

A few people here also don't seem to like using `highway=platform`, so there are some difficulties.

It is basically one whole platform, where you are directed to individual boarding positions, similar to `railway=platform_edge`, hence the temporary solution.
