The identification of the remains of a Roman castellum in this location (Meinerswijk) as "Castra Herculis" was promoted by its excavator, but now it is regarded by most scholars as highly unlikely that this is the "Castra Herculis" known from written sources.

Hier is iets raars met de straatnamen. Deze straat heet ook 'Paasheuvelweg'

Het lijkt erop dat de gemeente Amsterdam hier de straatnamen wilde veranderen, maar dat dat (nog?) niet is doorgezet.
