Hi Paul, I'm thinking that addr:substreet=Eastwoods + addr:parentstreet=Ditchling Road would be more applicable here. Otherwise we are sort-of stating that 9 adjoined buildings are all individually named 'Eastwoods'. It could be a terrace, but the road does have a road sign. - Jez

Hi Paul, There has been a bit of debate on this for B&H since turning into a city. I was originally on the 'Brighton' or 'Hove' camp but got overruled. We will eventually do some mass updates to make it consistent. Alternatively, it ends in an 'edit war' :(

If you click 'Edit', then go into the 'background settings' layer menu there is a very useful layer in 'Overlays' called 'OSMUK Cadastral Parcels'. This can help you plot individual houses rather then terrace blocks (like i've just done on the Park Lane corner)....or continue with terraces, but eventually they will need to be chopped up by someone.

The benefit of classifying different types of houses will probably only become apparent when we have whole large areas mapped....e.g. "how many detached houses are there in Brighton & Hove?", "How does the pattern of housing change across the City?"....
