Construction here, it looks like they're adding a turn lane to the north side of highway 44 to support the new subdivision they are building.
Traffic is slowed and traffic-coned (if you don't know the word, make one up!) between Canada Rd. clear through to Star Road.
The construction corridors is probably so long because they are also doing construction on the Northwest lot at the corner of 44 and Star Rd, and it seems to have spiled out into the shoulder and partially onto northernmost (turn) lane of 44 itself.

There is a locked metal gate here disallowing access to the dirt footpath connection to Cemetery Road. Sign reads "No trespassing. This property is protected by video surveillance. Trespassers will be prosecuted."

This is not part of the street, it is someone's yard overgrown with grass and stuff. It does not connect to the service track to the west.
