It is more up to date, but it is misaligned for lots of the area where I am, and aligning it in one place does not continue for the rest of the map sometimes.

It seems that you have marked this carpark as "parking space", but this is used for marking individual spaces.
The correct tag would just be "amenity=parking".

Well watching the video, is it about that lift, so I'm assuming that's where he got the information from about the levels, etc. So it might not be an accident?

Thank you for your contribution, but it seems you are having some tagging issues.
You can only have one tag of each tagtype, but you had "landuse=grass","https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Tag:landuse_1=park". I have removed the grass tag, as a park is already marked as grass.
You could have "surface=grass", but it is not needed in this case.
