The grey shading shows the area of the bridge. When you look a imagery you see osm.org/edit?editor=id&changeset=175241111#map=20/40.9333128/-73.7599364 , which doesn't correspond to the co-ordinates you mention? Where did you get them from? Did you actually view the map while loading this info or just import it regardless?
