Using OSM Deep History I can see the changeset added +[natural=water] and removed -[place=sea].

changeset was in Waddesdon only. huge bbox because I added a fixme to relation "akeman street" stating it should go in open historical map.

Hi, I'm using Overpass Turbo to find ways without valid tags, such as here you have amenity=yes, which hedge0850 seemingly rightfully deleted and replaced with surface=asphalt.

What's the ground truth? it's a park? sports pitch? something else?

Map's looking a lot better, my Modus Operandi at the moment is to add farmland to find missing residential areas. I try to draw them to allow fences/hedges to be traced correctly (OSMUK Cadastrals are really good for this), but when there's footpaths involved I don't want to add them on the wrong side, hence why there'll be gaps.
