OSM's not a dump for external databases. The edubase refers back to data that's more accurately maintained than schools in OSM.

There's no "duplication". Sports pitches are mapped within recreation grounds.

The Recreation ground is not used solely by cricket as there is a bowls pitch & also contains pavilions & parking.

leisure=pitch is for specific sports areas ie within white lines, which is why I created the cricket oval Other pitches can be added & overlapped, if necessary.
Note, your edit left behind loads of empty nodes.

The weirdness of spending money on such a quiet junction is why I queried it. Have they dug up tarmac or added barriers? Seems to only restrict the farmer, unless rubbish sat-nats think the motorway junction is accessible.
