FYI there can only be one railway=station per station. I've swapped your edits to building=train_station.

I recommend you do the 'walkthrough' iD editor's help. Plus lookup shortcuts for 'split line'

OS maps are copyrighted & can not be used as a source for OSM.
if an existing way type requires amending the tags should be changed. An extra way should not be mapped on top.
If contiguous ways are of the same type with the same characteristics it should be one continuous way & not a few joined together.

Farmland that has grass for feeding or crop is still farmland & would be better tagged as such.
Grass: "A tag for a smaller areas of mown and managed grass for example in the middle of a roundabout,"
