I think railway=stop + the relevant NapTAN stop position code is what should be added.
osm.wiki/NaPTAN#NaPTAN

The correct term is tagging *incorrectly* to suit the renderer. Positioning nodes so valid data can display isn't incorrect.See village place names as an example. It's a bit awkward because the platforms are askew but somewhere half way between the two on railway land is fine for the station node.

Why have you deleted this landuse polygon?
If it's owned/used by a railway company for 'railway' purposes then it's a valid addition to OSM.
if the area demarcated is inaccurate then it should be amended, not removed.

There should only be one ref:crs per station & it should be on the railway=station node.
It's best to position that node away from the station building to allow its name & other facilities to render & display.

If you spot any of my errors, let me know & I'll fix them.

The node in the channel is still there.

Looking at the various aerial images there appears to be a segregated path to the rear of the platform. I'd be surprised if it didn't route along it.
