OSM can not use Google Streetview due to an incompatible licence.

To check - Are you sure the PROW goes along the riverbank? Last time I walked it, (a while ago) the hedge formed a cul-de-sac & was only accessible for barge owners.

Clarification: The lanes tag refers to the A367 or roads with a centre line marking.

When creating platforms as polygons could you please add 'area=yes' tag.
This is required to render railway=platforms as infilled grey.
That it currently renders infilled without it is a bug in OSM-carto's data & will be fixed.

As it involves using Overpass & JOSM, it's easier to do it myself.

There's no special tag requirements for platforms mapped as single lines, but they are better converted to polygons, as you've been doing.
