Please spare me the “we don’t tag for the renderer”. I have been an OSM editor for a long time now and I am well aware of that.

However, the behavior of the most common renderers is a perfectly valid guide to expectations of what "main tags" should and should not be mixed in modern OSM. There are many cases where a POI should not get more than a single main tag, and in the case of historic=memorial, memorial=statue community practice suggests that this tag already serves to fully describe the POI without the need for tourism=artwork (a tag that is used mainly for artworks that do not depict historical figures).

I don’t see why Wroclaw should have a tagging practice that sets it apart from other European cities.

How so? I left a note here saying that the tunnel in building 99 should be moved to building 97. Another editor then made the change. If you have not fully refreshed your OSM.org tiles, then two tiles may appear on your screen, but I see only one.

That the tourism=artwork and historic=memorial tags are not meant to be combined in modern OSM, is clear from how the most popular renderers have chosen to act. If tourism=artwork is not present, then they will show attributes of the memorial (i.e. whether it is a statue, bust, stone, etc.), but once you add tourism=artwork, then all that information is lost.

I have clicked around some major statues of historical figures in Europe, and they do not combine the tags, so your choice does seem nonstandard and IMHO deleterious.

When the ATM is not standalone, then setting atm=yes on the bank POI is the standard tagging.

Ramp=separate (like sidewalk=separate for roads) is an important tag to avoid StreetComplete users being prompted to fill in the tags on highway=steps.

Ramp:wheelchair would not be appropriate for the blue way because it is not a highway=steps. See the wiki entry.

Yes, it is true, because I was just here three days ago and I saw this with my own eyes. The line rendered in blue on OSM.org is the ramp for the nearby stairs (with a handrail for wheelchair users). If you want people sent along the ramp instead of the stairs in routing scenarios, then one can tag the stairs ramp=separate, but nevertheless the stairs should be marked for accessibility for users who wish to determine how many highway=steps are accompanied by ramps.

Why have you reverted my changes here? These stairs are accompanied by a wheelchair ramp, and therefore ramp:wheelchair is the right tagging.

Please do not add wild camping sites to OpenStreetMap. If you are traveling by bicycle, motorcycle, or van and you want to share wild camping sites with other overlanders, you can add them to the iOverlander app, but they are not appropriate for OpenStreetMap.

Even in 2018, before the building began to be used for municipal services (as it was going renovations), this was still building=public and not building=commercial. Please be more careful in future.

Your edit here is wrong: this is a government building belonging to the Turda municipality (municipal services are offered there). I will have to revert it.

What is the source for your additions in Turda?

Please don’t add access=destination for living_streets like this. Doing this will stop *all* traffic from being able to route through these areas. The street signs ("Accesul interzis cu exceptia riveranilor") apply to cars, but pedestrians can walk through these areas. So, the right tag to use is motor_vehicle=destination.

As I specified in my changeset, my source was Mapillary imagery. It shows asphalt.

Please do not add English names ("Turda Town House of Culture") for POIs in Romania. Instead, the name= tag should contain only the local-language name.

If you only know the English-language name, use the name:en= tag and leave the name= tag blank.

Hi Cat. Please don’t add free camping sites to OSM unless they are clearly marked as campsites. (I just cycled past a completely unmarked site in Ukraine that you added.) These kind of details can go on e.g. the iOverlander app to help others, but OSM isn’t really a suitable place for them.
