Hi again... thanks for giving it a go. Probably the testing instance is quirky on its own. There's a way to edit with JOSM - refer osm.wiki/Sandbox_for_editing#Experiment_with_the_API_(advanced) but anyway, it seems impossible to see changes with respect to Nomination in that test instance - sorry for that bumpy experience.

My suggestion is, maybe, talk about your experiment in the Communities forum osm.org/communities, or maybe, the global OSM Telegram group https://t.me/OpenStreetMapOrg - hopefully someone would help with your curiosities.

But let me know if it's not working for your use case (testing Nominatim).
