I can't find these paths on any OS Open Data map so I've assumed that an unacceptable source map was used. Rather than delete the paths outright I've aligned them to the paths shown on the only acceptable source mapping I could find (old out of copyright OS 1:25k). A FIXME tag has been added so that they can be more accurately mapped by a local mapper.

Whilst new contributors are always welcome we cannot use information copied from copyrighted Ordnance Survey maps except old maps which are out of copyright and those maps OS have released under their Opendata licence egs. Open Data Streetview, Open Map Local, Vector Map - District etc. We cannot use their commercial maps egs. 1:25k Explorer, 1:50k Landranger. Unless you can confirm which maps you have used these paths will need to be deleted.
I appreciate that any copyright infringement will have been unintentiopnal. Please do read OSM's policy here: osm.wiki/Copyright#Proprietary_data

Welcome to OSM. A football pitch is tagged as leisure=pitch and sport=soccer. An unnamed feature like a football pitch doesn't need a name tag. As the pitches are part of the park they should be within the park area.

Hi,
The signs are the blue circular signs meaning a road for buses, cycles and taxis only. Obviously pedestrians are also allowed unless explicitly prohibited.
access=no, foot=yes, bus=yes, taxi=yes bicycle=yes seems a more accurate representation of these restrictions than motor_vehicle=no, bus=yes, taxi=yes, bicycle=yes but as you say the practical difference to end users is minimal.

Adding foot=yes would allow pedestrians whilst maintaining the traffic restrictions.
Removing the access=no tag to allow pedestrians has the unintended effect of allowing some types of traffic which aren't permitted by the road signs egs. horses and non-motorised vehicles.

Welcome to OSM. Whilst it is fine to add businesses to the map, OSM is not a commercial listings site. The description tag shouldn't be used to advertise. Also, if making a few localised changes many miles apart, it is better to save the changes as separate changesets so it is clear to local mappers what has been changed.

Thanks Andy, that's good to know.
It had also occurred to me since writing my message that crossings at complex junctions are often mapped separately, particularly where cycleways are involved so it would be an existing problem for routers if they did count crossings as separate sets of lights. My only remaining concern now is whether we would really want routing software considering pedestrian crossings in the same way as proper intersections. A main road with frequent pedestrian crossings could appear to be a much slower route than it actually is.

Welcome to OSM. Well done on adding the tennis courts. However, unless dealing with places with strictly defined boundaries eg. a city block, we map places as nodes (points) rather than areas. Also,we can't just tag a whole semi-rural village like Hutton as landuse=residential. I've changed these two things back to how they were. Please feel free to get in touch if you have any questions.

Welcome to OSM. We only tend to add names to newly constructed roads once they are signed on the ground. Any other maps/plans etc. are almost certain to be copyrighted so we can't use information from them without permission.

Hi Antony. If you are passing, it might be worth keeping an eye on this over the coming months. Local news reports suggest that the D'Urton Ln/A6 junction will be reopened to all traffic at some point in February as sewer works will close off the Eastway end. When the bypass is opened (August) the A6 end will again be closed to motor traffic (this time permanently). I don't get out that side of town very often but I'll try to keep an eye on it.

By bizarre coincidence I stopped at the premier inn next door earlier in the year and noticed the Dutch spelling at the time. Unless it has been changed Kopje is the spelling on the road sign
