WTF did you add "addr:street:carriageway_ref:kmb" and "addr:street:ref:kmb" into the bus stops?! These are undocumented and it seems meaningless.

What the heck are you doing here? Why did you delete all the bus stops of A33?!

I don't think that it's correct to put highway_link=* on a road which is not a pure link. And there is no requirement that highway=trunk/primary/secondary/etc. must serve non motorway traffic. Moreover, it is also possible to have classification change in the middle of the driveway, like the southern end of route 1.

=motorway_link is also misleading here as "Shun Long Road is not a link".

Similar cases include Hung Tin Road, Tsing Tin Road, Po Shun Road, Long Tin Road, etc.

Shun Long Road is not a link. It is a distributor road. Therefore tagging it as *_link is inappropriate.

For Airport Road, it is neither a link nor a distributor road. It is an extension of the motorway itself.

I also have repeated that it's misleading to tag highway=motorway_link on long stretch of roads which are clearly not motorways. Shun Long Road is not a motorway and it is a separate highway to any of the motorways around the area. It is just a normal road which connects the HK port to Lantau Island.

Please don't mess up bus routes.

Bus stops must be added with role of "platform" IN THE EXACT STOPPING ORDER, and ways must be added in the exact order.

Also please make changes only after the reorganisation is effective.

There is no consensus whether the full or short form should be used for operator=* as mentioned on the wiki page. Therefore the most common name is typed into it.

osm principle: map what's on the ground. There is no ambiguity on the ground here. The ground is clear without any exceptions.

1. owner= in combination of route=railway is good (the railway is owned by KCR), but not on the service themselves (route=train or route=subway). The fact that MTR uses KCR trains on certain train services does not mean KCR owns the train service.
2. Maybe use dual_carriageway=yes or no.
3. The wiki page also says that highway=motorway_link means motorway restriction. In general the _link won't change mid-way however for motorways it's legally different before and after the sign. (For example, stopping restrictions aren't valid before the sign)

I'm also offended by you adding a lot of tags which are either wrong (such as owner=* on bus routes), both undocumented and meaningless (such as carriageway=*), or not following the universal wiki documentation (like the motorway_link limit).

this is a strict NO!!!!!!!!! not private, not permit, not any other values. The road sign is very clear - "no motor vehicles except taxi"

apart from this he has caused a lot of mess in other areas as well, most notably tagging slip roads outside the legal limit as motorway_link (which the consensus is that motorway = legal expressway and tunnels delimited by signs)

The tags I removed are clearly invalid. service and passenger tags are clearly invalid here as the routes are normal routes (maybe with the exception of 96R). They are general routes serving general passengers. Also owner (a bus route can't be owned) and brand (there is no brand for KMB & LW routes).

Also there is no PTv3. The new proposal does not create a PTv3. stop_position here is redundant and mostly unverifiable (especially in rural areas) so I'm gradually removing them when updating bus routes.

highway=secondary

A highway which is not part of a major route, but nevertheless forming a link in the national route network. In developed countries it normally has 2 lanes and the traffic for both directions is usually separated by a central line on the road. In areas with worse infrastructure road quality may be far worse.

Des Voeux Road Central (both bounds) matches this description perfectly. It is not part of the trunk road network but it is an important link throughout the Central area. However in westbound this link is open for franchised buses only, and it is an very important link for buses going from Wan Chai to Sheung Wan.

This is from the wiki description of highway=service:

Generally for access to a building, service station, beach, campsite, industrial estate, business park, etc. This is also commonly used for access to parking, driveways, and alleys.

This is totally irrelevant for Des Voeux Road Central. And it is not used only because of certain class of vehicles are prohibited.
