Started at Eagle On the Hill today, next to the old Bullock Track. We completed section 2 in the rain, but it was before lunch, so we pressed on and completed section 3 in light rain. Good walking. Saw a few Koalas and Captain Giles' Ruins along the way. GPS track is up and mapped.

Does anyone know what to do when a walking track follows an existing street or way for a bit? I don't know whether to run parralel to the existing way, or to finish the section there and pick up the trail where it takes off on it's own again...

I do not like "Copyright Easter Eggs" (http://www.opengeodata.org/?p=287) because they do not suit the idea of a community project like Openstreetmap in my opinion.

I would actually LIKE to see commercial providers of maps making use of Openstreetmap because that makes me proud. Ask yourself: when you go out and collect data for Openstreetmap, is it your intention to make money out of it? That is definitely not my intention. What I would like to see is that my work is actually of use for somebody (even if it is a commercial company). As I said before, THIS makes me proud.

Continued to map the beautiful island Ibiza. Hell there is so much to do there.

I have written a perl script which can fix a "braided" street in US TIGER data, as described at

osm.wiki/index.php/TIGER_fixup

It is a command-line tool which will download and fix the ways, and produce a file which you can open in JOSM to verify and upload.

I add a part of the streets of this town in the south of Luxembourg.

Since this week I have my bike available in Magstadt, so I may be able to map a few tracks around in the next few weeks.
The mapping of the streets and footways may be finished in the next few weeks, too.

I am trying to find all my scraps with waypoints and get them into the map.
I uploaded a file with some Gangnung tracks.
I found a Chicago, Bloomington-Normal, Springfield file.

Starting from a post on the talk-ie list about the old N7 in Limerick, I began picking through the data and remarking it as the R445. As I was going along, I noticed junctions with other roads, and thought I'd check them too. And then I checked what was attached to them...

In the end, the list below is what I updated:

∘ Fixed Old N7 to R445
∘ Fixed N20 route into city, still unsure within city (think it's okay)
∘ Added R509 (half of Childers Road)
∘ Added R510 (first half, suspect the other half is on the map, but not enough data to be sure)
∘ Added R526 (old N20) within Limerick
∘ Added R527 (old N24) within Limerick
∘ Corrected start of R463
∘ Added R857 (Ennis road)
∘ Added R858

Limerick still needs lots of work! If anybody is living down there (I don't) please, in particular, mark the one-way streets if you can. The Osmarender maps should update soon.

I just uploaded a new track some five hours ago and noticed there was a long queue waiting to be processed. Five hours delay.

After four hours I logged in again and found my track was gone!!!

Has it happened before? Of course, being the first time I got the prob, I had not performed any backup :-(.

Finalmente mi sono dotato di un GPS logger, l'iBlue 747, ho iniziato a loggare così potrò mappare anche le mie zone, la Valle del Cesano e le Marche. Ho iniziato ad caricare un paio di tracce, ora non mi rimane che utilizzare JOSM! :)

I took the pretty routes there and back today on a visit to a potential barn conversion job, mapping a few miles of narrow lanes mostly south of Ashbourne, Derbyshire. The lanes round there are always muddy!
