I just added in my HUGE track log file.. it's 13,000km long. .. most of which is technically accurate asides from a couple spots where it shows a straight line from town to town. I'm working on editing them all so that each GPS Track Up upload will be for a different route. (hopefully it'll be accepted)

Here's the routes that will be shown (I already have them on the computer, just need to upload)

Trans Canada Highway Route (Cycling on the TC Highway shoulder all the way)
Paved Alternate to the Trans Canada Trail (Although some of the Trans Canada Trail IS paved, this route shows the way across following paved routes)
The Gravel Trail across Canada, mainly along the Trans Canada Trail, follows the paved roads where no gravel exists
The Dirt Trail across Canada, mainly mountain biking and Hiking, and follows the gravel trails and paved roads where no dirt trail exists.

Right now, it's best that I work on the trail edits myself, (on Garmin Map Source) and upload it to here. However, if there are others who want to work on this trail also, please contact me so then i know to be collaborating.

I also have all the points along the way, where are organized in the form on POI files, so then when i update the full down loadable map, everything will be there.

Thanks :)

Inspired by seeing my changes to East Hagbourne appear on the main map, I have been out tonight and finished off nearly all footpaths in the village, there is one bridleway to map, but at this time of year it is a little damp and muddy to cycle, so I will wait until it is drier.

Upton the village to the south is not complete, in fact it is more detailed than other maps I have seen that are available on line.

I will start moving north soon and begin on the south of Didcot.

A further 17 mile run last Sunday added an additional chunk of Cheshunt to the map and allowed me to push down into Waltham Cross and reach the A121 thus making contact with the work already done by Steve8 for the first time.

I completed mapping the area to the east of the B176 and Steve8 has since done most of the area to the west, as far as the A10. Only the park remains to be mapped to the east of the A10.

I got my Sustrans Ranger pack at the weekend. I'm taking on Regional Route 62 which runs nearly 20km between Birmingham to Sutton Coldfield currently but is not yet signed as part of the NCN. So to kick start the process of getting it signed I did a route survey and report http://ajr.hopto.org/sustrans/RR62%20Conditions%20Assessment%20Survey.pdf which has gone to the local Ranger Liaison officer and the area Sustrans manager. I've set a goal of getting temporary signing for the full length done by the start of the school holidays. Maybe a tall order but its worth having something to aim for. Most of the route is already in OSM as RR62 but the run into Birmingham allowed me to complete a missing section of the Birmingham & Fazeley Canal towpath. RR62 on the cycle map is at

Since version 0.9a Potlatch doesn't react on pressing and keys anymore (or in more than 90% of all cases - sometimes it still works). So in Hameln/Germany I tagged a wrong road as motorway (there's no motorway/Autobahn in Hameln), because I cannot delete it.

It would be nice if this problem can be fixed soon.

Been catching up on processing my gpx logs in JOSM, and then uploading the logs after ways have been created and tagged appropriately.

I need to do less driving and more processing of logs I think - 9 days of driving around the country between the 20'th of March 2008 and the 24'th of April 2008 for a total distance of 2138.18 kilometers, or 1328.60 miles for you decimalsystem challenged people in the colonies and the UK - Thats a lot of trackpoints logged on a 50 ccm scooter - And a lot of data to tag.

So, habe ich gestern hier Angemeldet und
will in den nächsten Monaten meinen Heimatort Neu-Ulm/Ludwigsfeld

Glacier

I have just finished updating my village and the one next door, I have a few foot paths a bridal way to finish off but otherwise pretty much complete.

What was funny today was, I found a footpath I have not known about, and I must have walked past the entrance to it 40 times. I am finding out quite a lot about my area.

My next plan is to map the streets in the south of Didcot as most of these are not done, and then move onto the Ladygrove estate.
