Hi

I have a lake that have been inadvertenly moved, but I am unable to
revert to the correct version 1.

When press 'H' and select the first revision and press "revert" it seems
like it switches back to the correct old position, but when I leave and reenter
potlach it again at the wrong position and with an incorrect shape.

What is happening ?

Ich habe einen falschen Strassennamen gefunden.
Die nach N abgehende Sackgasse heisst nicht "Hutteneichenweg" sondern "Kaufwaldweg"

Ich bin ganzneu hier und weiss nicht, wie man so eine Korrektur behandeln muss.

habe endlich einen GPS Logger in die Hand bekommen der fuer mich gut funktioniert.
War fuer 80 EUR bei Amazon auch gut bezahlbar.
Das beste:
funktioniert auch ohne Batterie, wenn man ihm Strom per Mini-USB zufuehert.
Batterie sind Standard AA. Akkulaufzeit bis jetzt mit einem Eneloop-AA 6 Stunden ausprobiert, er war dann noch nicht alle, aber ich habe sicherheitshalber ausgetauscht um beim Radfahren nicht ueberfluessigen Kram mitschleppen zu muessen.
der Track laesst sich sehr gut aus dem Geraet per GPS babel auslesen.
Die Bedienung ist akzeptabel. Zeigt mir, was fuers Radfahren wichtig ist, Geschwindigkeit und Hoehe an.

Einziges Problem: ist nicht wasserdicht, was bei heftigem Regen zu panischen Anhalteaktionen fuehrt :-)

I read about osm.org in heute.de just a few days after I bought my GPS-Tracker.

After looking at my hometown I was instantly fascinated because It's somewhat a white spot In a "Day and Age" where there usually are none. So very soon I'll try to make my share of contribution. I'm very Excited.

PS: Wondering if anybody reads this at all.

It's home, and woefully lacking in named roads, pubs, green spaces and much really.

So I'm cycling around and getting the names of everything, and spotting the odd street that hadn't been picked up from the ariel photos.

One or two places where I'm going to have to go back and verify if a few roads do link up as suggested.

There's still a lot to be done down this way though.

Eine Auto-Probefahrt nutzte ich gestern dazu, die Hamelner Ortsteile Wehl, Klein Berkel und Wangelist fertigzustellen (zumindest was von Autos befahrbare Straßen angeht). Lediglich die Nordmannstraße fehlt noch, die habe ich total vergessen ;-)
Außerdem ist auch die Nordstadt bis auf wenige Straßen vollständig.

Insgesamt ist Hameln mittlerweile schon recht weit fortgeschritten. Wenn man bedenkt, dass vor ca. 2 Monaten nur wenige Straßen im Innenstadtbereich vorhanden waren und ich fast allein jetzt über 50% der Stadt (Bereiche mit ca. 40.000 der knapp 60.000 Einwohner) gemappt habe, bin ich echt ein wenig stolz auf mich (ja, ja, ich weiß: Eigenlob stinkt).

Außerdem habe ich die Chance genutzt, den Ohrbergpark und die ersten (Neben-) Straßen in den Emmerthaler Ortsteilen Ohr, Emmern, Kirchohsen und Hagenohsen zu mappen. Die Straße zum Parkplatz Ohrbergpark ist übrigens arg verbesserungswürdig - mehr als 10 km/h bedeutet an einigen Stellen schwere Schäden am Auto. Bergab also fast komplett im ersten Gang...

Im Osmarender sieht es schon gut aus, ich freue mich schon auf das Mapnik-Update am Mittwoch!

Hallo!

Habe meinen ersten Eintrag gemacht. Straße von Paaren im Glien nach Börnicke c(52.674887, 12.966777). Die Straße fehlte, also rein damit. Ich hoffe, dass alles richtig war.

I'm on Vista Ultimate and I can't select the OSM XML option under Export in Firefox or IE.

That's the format I need for Mobile GMaps.

Mist, gerade habe ich festgestellt, dass irgendwer in Gießen ein Stadtviertel verwüstet hat. Dort fehlen jetzt ganze Straßen und Flächen.

Und natürlich gibt es weder eine Möglichkeit, diesen Unsinn rückgängig zu machen noch festzustellen, wer es verursacht hat. In der Nähe habe ich allerdings einige Edits von einem User gesehen, der Potlatch verwendet hat und ein/zwei Straßen reingemalt hat. Meine Vermutung ist, dass da einer ein bisschen rumgespielt hat und dann einiges zu Bruch ging. Das ist sehr demotivierend. Die Änderungen werden dann wohl ab Mittwoch in Mapnik auftauchen, in Osmarender sind sie jetzt schon enthalten.

F*ck! I just noticed that somebody destroyed the map of a city quarter in Gießen. Now several streets and areas are missing.

Of course there is neither the possibility to revert this BS nor to identify the person who was responsible. Nearby I noticed some edits of a user who had used Potlatch, though. I guess that somebody played around a bit and somehow destroyed stuff. That is very frustrating. The changes will appear on Wednesday in Mapnik, in Osmarender they appear already.

Fixade till Akademsiak sjukhuset och en del cykelvägar.

Skapa och updaterat vägar i mitt närområde, runt Vaxmora i Sollentuna. Har även stökat runt längs de vägar jag passerat under de senaste dagarna. Jag har just skaffat mig en GlobalSat DG-100 och är helnöjd med storleken och möjligheten till att lagra fler punkter än min gamla Eagle Explorer. Även smidigare överföring av punkter.

British Heart Foundation family cycle near Swindon UK. Managed to have a flat battery on my GPS but was able to use it for short bursts. Fortunately there was already some points from NPE and I could put another mile or so onto National route 45. I think much of the route through Swindon is already mapped and just needs tagging. I need to get out and look at the signposts to label the streets correctly.

Heute haben mein Vater, mein Bruder und ich eine Radtour gemacht und dabei gemappt. Mein Vater hat die ganzen Punkte aufgeschrieben, wärend ich die Punkte gemacht habe. Mein Bruder hat nichts gemacht, aber zusammen ist es viel besser zu mappen als alleine. Nicht nur, das man sich unterhalten kann, man ist auch schneller fertig. Der eine macht den Punkt, während der andere ihn aufschreibt. So geht das viel schneller als alles nach einander.

Es macht viel Spass zu fahren, da ist mir jetzt mit dem Editieren etwas langweilig. :D
